Dry oil spray lubrication, like oil mist lubrication, is also a lubrication method powered by compressed air. Because the viscosity of dry oil is too high, it cannot use the Venturi effect to form mist like oil mist lubrication. Instead, a separate pump (dry oil station) is used to transport the grease. The grease meets the compressed air at the nozzle and is blown into granular oil mist, which is directly sprayed with the compressed air to the friction pair for lubrication. Its characteristic is that the lubricant can exceed the space and be directed, quantitatively and evenly delivered to the friction surface. Not only easy to use, but also reliable in operationIt saves oil and achieves better lubrication effect even in harsh working environments. This lubrication method is referred to as jet lubrication.
The dry oil injection device is suitable for the lubrication of large open gears (such as ball mills, rotary kilns, excavators, blast furnace distributors, etc.) as well as wire ropes and chains in metallurgy, mining, cement, chemical industry, papermaking and other industries.
Operation and maintenance of dry oil injection lubrication system
Before a newly installed or overhauled transmission is put into operation, a layer of the same grease as the injection device should be evenly applied to the lubricated surface. Because the dry oil injection system cannot provide sufficient grease at the beginning of operation, it needs to be pre-coated manually. When using the spray device, you should also pay attention to the following points:
1. The grease used is filtered, even-textured, with appropriate penetration. Impurities mixed into grease not only affect the atomization effect, but may even block the nozzle. In order to facilitate atomization, it is generally necessary to add about 20% high-viscosity lubricating oil (such as steel rolling machine oil, gasoline, engine oil, etc.) to the grease, and its penetration should not be less than 300. If the wear resistance is enhanced, an appropriate amount of molybdenum disulfide can be added to the grease, or a standard brand of molybdenum disulfide lubricating paste can be used;
2. Compressed air meets the pressure (i.e. not less than 0.45MPa). The air should be kept clean and dry. When possible, install three major pneumatic components (i.e., water separation filter, air pressure regulating valve, and oil mist generator) in the air intake pipeline, which can increase the service life of the control valve and nozzle;
3. The maximum working pressure of manual dry oil station should be kept below 7MPa. For newly installed dry oil injection devices, the entire system should be filled with grease before use;
4. The oil storage tank must be kept filled with sufficient grease and is not allowed to be emptied. Otherwise, air will enter the system and affect the spray;
5. It is necessary to regularly check whether the lubricated gear tooth surface receives sufficient lubricant, whether there is any change in the angle of the nozzle, etc. If you need to adjust the oil volume, you can turn the adjusting screw on the oil feeder to adjust (the adjustment range is 1.5~5mm/per cycle);
6. The entire injection device is cleaned regularly to ensure smooth and flexible system. For open gear transmission, the scale remaining on the tooth surface should also be removed in a timely manner according to the on-site working conditions.
